A Hearing Difficulty most commonly affects our ability to communicate with other people. This may lead to Social Isolation, Poor Performance at work or Irritability. Apart from the social impacts related to poor hearing, a Hearing Loss may also result in a reduced awareness to sound, leading to a loss of confidence or ability to appreciate the sounds of life around us. Although the inability to Hear tends to be the most common type of hearing difficulty, other such difficulties may include experiencing a hypersensitivity, dislike or pain upon hearing certain types of sound. Having your hearing evaluated would allow you to determine whether a Hearing Difficulty is present and recognise the necessary steps to be taken towards reducing such difficulties.
A Hearing Assessment carried out with SINE Ear Care includes Otoscopy followed by Air/ Bone conduction Audiometry. The assessment will be carried out in line with the recommended procedures outlined by the British Society of Audiology. The provided hearing report could then be kept for your records or shared with your GP, Solicitor or Ear Specialist.
Please note a suitably quiet room would be required for the hearing assessment.
